Yesterday, I was on a quest to formerly introduce myself to Mt. Rainier. The weather forecast predicted that by the start of the football game (1:15pm) the skies would be clear and I would get to meet this huge volcano i've really only seen from the city. As it turns out, the weather did indeed clear up AT the football game, just not where we were. But for the record, it did not rain, (although, to our delight, it had clearly snowed the night before) it was very foggy, but still magical and beautiful, because you knew that this huge mountain was just behind a very annoying cloud. Christine and I were determined to see the clouds clear, but after waiting at the top of "Pinnacle" or "Plummer" peak for nearly 30 mins, we gave up, hoping the mtn would become less shy as we made our way down. There is some uncertainty as to where we were exactly, because, well, we couldn't see anything. Everything near the top of our hike was pretty much socked in. It was quite entertaining actually. Two blonds standing on a mountain, staring at the map, trying to figure out where exactly in this fog, a huge mtn just might decide to peak through. Keep in mind, that the mtn we were trying to find was the biggest thing on our map. Heck, it was practically the ONLY thing on our map.

Larissa: So where should Rainier be?
Christine: Well, it is this BIG thing on our map.
Larissa: Could it be that it is just so big we can't see it?
Christine: Wait, is that a mountain or a cloud?

There just has to be a blond joke there somewhere.
