Things you see a lot of in Seattle that you would expect to see:
1. Mountains
2. Bikers
3. Fleeces - everybody, and i mean everybody, regardless of where they are going or what they are doing, they are wearing a fleece. And if they aren't they are just visiting.
4. Water (on the earth, not so much falling from the sky just yet)
5. Seafood places - no joke, I passed by an eating establishment called, "Acres of Oysters."
6. People with hair every color of the rainbow. Sometimes more than one color on one head at a time.
Things you see a lot of in Seattle that you would NOT necessarily expect to see:
1. Flowers in bloom - It gets down to about 45 at night now, and there are still gorgeous rose gardens everywhere. It never ceases to amaze me.
2. Homeless people - Now, i can only imagine that this is the case because it never gets brutally cold here, so living outside, as long as you can find shelter from the rain, you are pretty much good to go.
3. Hills - There are several here that definitely give SF a run for its money. Yesterday, i walked down a hill that was so steep, i thought i'd be dragging my knuckles like a snowboarder any second.

ACRES of oysters? Acres? Really?
Be careful walking down those hills. And up them. I don't think I'd like to take a stumble on one of those.
